Day 1: Redding
Arrive at San Francisco International Airport and check in at the Hertz rental office. Pick up the vehicle you selected for your tour (Sedan, convertible, van, or SUV). Enter the address of your Redding Hotel into the Hertz “never lost” Navigational System and enjoy your scenic four hour drive up the Sacramento Valley to Redding. This region of California enjoys a Mediterranean climate so bring your warm weather clothes!

Day 2: Redding
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then head over to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park and Museum. With its giant aquarium and entertaining exhibits you will learn about the wildlife and history of Northern California. Then later we have a private float trip and dinner planned for you down the picturesque Sacramento River. As you float down the river you will marvel at the beauty and wildlife of this part of California.

Day 3: Mt Shasta
After breakfast its time to head to 14,162 foot Mt Shasta, an inactive volcano and one of the highest mountains in the USA. On the way you will first take a tour of Shasta Dam one of the largest dams in the USA and the world. After this you will be heading to awesome Shasta Caverns for a boat trip across beautiful Shasta Lake and an incredible underground tour of the limestone caverns. A short drive up the Sacramento River Canyon brings you to Mt Shasta your home for the next two nights.

Day 4: Mt Shasta
Today after a hearty breakfast you will be exploring the Mt Shasta area. In the morning you will be heading to McCloud falls, a string of three different water falls cascading along the beautiful McCloud River. In the afternoon you will be driving up snow capped Mt Shasta for incredible views and a high country hike if you desire. As in all our tours you will be provided a top ten list of attractions and restaurants in the area so you always enjoy every minute of you vacation.

Day 5: Lake Almanor
After breakfast it is time to visit Lassen Park. On the way you will be visiting Burney Falls a California State Park featuring one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. Then it is on to Lassen Park, a volcanic experience like no other with majestic peaks, bubbling mud pots, stunning lakes, and delightful wildlife. For the next two nights you will be staying at scenic Lake Almanor at the base of Lassen Park.

Day 6: Lake Almanor
Today after breakfast you have a choice. Go back to the high country of Lassen Park to hike the superb trails and visit some of the unique volcanic sights of the area or spend the day in Lake Almanor boating or playing one of the beautiful golf courses in the area. Let us know what you want to do and we will make all the reservations for you!
