Day 1: San Francisco
Arrive at San Francisco International Airport and check in at the Hertz rental office. Pick up the vehicle you chose for your tour (Sedan, convertible, van, or SUV). Day 2: San Francisco
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then head down to Fisherman’s Wharf. From there you will be boarding the Bay Cruise for a tour of the famous Alcatraz Island and prison. The beautiful cruise on the bay and the visit to the island are sure to be one of the highlights of your day. The afternoon can be spent sightseeing or shopping. Day 3: Mendocino
After breakfast its time to head to the wild Pacific Coast. You will first travel across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and then through the lush vineyards and rolling hills of the beautiful wine country. Once you arrive at the coast you will head north with white beaches and majestic cliffs along the way. Make sure you stop at Fort Ross an early Russian fort built on the Coast in 1812. Arrive in Mendocino your home for the next two nights, a beautiful Victorian town next to the Pacific Ocean full of interesting shops and restaurants.

Day 4: Mendocino
After breakfast it is time to take a trip back in time on the World Famous Skunk Train. You will be traveling on a historic Steam Engine from the coast through the majestic redwood forest. After the 3.5 hour ride you may want to head to the beach or do some shopping!

Day 5: Ferndale
Enjoy breakfast then begin your journey to Redwoods. You will head north on the coast and then inland to the Highway of the Giants through the Redwoods. We will provide you maps and the best places to stop to fully appreciate the wonder of these majestic trees. Tonight and tomorrow you will be staying in Ferndale a wonderful historic town on the edge of the forest.

Day 6: Ferndale
After breakfast it is time to visit some of the famous groves of the redwoods and explore these majestic forests in more detail. A picnic lunch, a bottle of wine, gorgeous trees and stunning scenery will make for an unforgettable afternoon. Interesting shops and restaurants await you back in Ferndale!
